The Burberry CEO will join Apple in the spring as the head of the retail department

Apple Balla reports that the CEO of Burberry, Angela Ahrendts, has been appointed as the new head of the retail department-the post which has been unfilled for nearly a year.

The new CEO will begin working with the tech giant in the next year as the senior vice president, which is a newly created position, as stated by Apple.

“I am profoundly honored to join Apple in this newly created position next year, and very much look forward to working with the global teams to further enrich the consumer experience on and offline”, said Ahrendts. “I have always admired the innovation and impact Apple products and services have on people’s lives and hope in some small way I can help contribute to the company’s continued success and leadership in changing the world.”

Ahrendts has occupied the position of John Browett, who left the company, accompanied by the iOS software department head-Scott Forstall.

Ahrendts has a great experience in the global fashion industry. Before being appointed as the CEO of Burberry, she served as an executive vice president at Liz Claiborne and the president at Donna Karan International.

With the knowledge and experience of Ahrendts, Apple is expected to unleash a massive innovation in the world of fashionable technological products.
