The Z10 was likened to Blackberry building an iPhone imitation to house its Z10 platform. The Z30, has been likened, even before its release to the Galaxy S4 or HTC One. Critics and gadget gurus however seem to be happy with the new kid on BB's block having confirmed that the device is ergonomically designed and feels good in the hand.

Blackberry is taking a leaf out of Samsung's book and is responding to a trend from bigger phones or phablets. The Z30 is larger than its peers and sports a 5 inch screen and a 1280x720 pixel resolution for a clear, crisp display. The silver trim on the Z30 looks elegant, retaining Blackberry's fervor for the executive look. Blackberry's hard work over the past few months has definitely paid off with the looks and performance of the Z30. Housing a 1.7GHz Snapdragon processor, BB's new baby is all set to give the Big Guns a run for their money.

Despite Blackberry's significant efforts to come out with a wonder product that will change its fortunes, rumors are rife about the company being on its way out. Not having delivered a product that has wowed critics and consumers alike, public perception of the company is bleak, with many believing that BB is about to fold.

Critics tout the Z30 as Blackberry’s one top shot to prove its here to stay. Will the Z30 live up to public expectations and is it the spark BB needs to fuel a new era of executive phones? Blackberry is waiting with baited breath as the Z30 draws closer to the release date!
