An announcement of a new musical is raising eyebrows and brings Britney Spears to the top of celebrity news. Spears - The Gospel According to Britney is a new musical that debuts on November 7 in New York to raise money for full fledged production that can bring Spears to Broadway. The musical is using Britney Spears hits like Stronger, One More Time and Crazy to tell the story of Jesus.
The Spears musical is the brainchild of 23-year-old Patrick Blute. Not one word is spoken, and not one lyric is changed, technically making the musical an opera. The musical had already a premiere back in 2012 at the Columbia University's theater. Apparently tickets sold out in one minute.
As this news is already raising a lot of awareness online, there is a possibility that this is actually going to work. Expect though a lot of backlash from conservatives. And what does Britney Spears think about it?
