A bunch of hackers recently infiltrated reservation records of limousine and Town Car services. They were able to hijack the personal and financial information of 850,000 clients including top celebrities, lawmakers and Fortune 500 CEOs.

A company that specializes in limousine services has had its valuable information cache hacked by nefarious elements. About a million well-to-do customers had their money matters exposed thanks to this privacy theft. These included high profile lawyers, Hollywood stars and quite a few hefty CEOs.

The hackers had previously made online ambushes on two other sources that were stored in tandem with this firm. The scandalous fact was that hundreds of thousands of credit card numbers and other forms of sensitive information regarding some highly influential figures became common knowledge. And at least half of the credit card codes that got exposed had a lot of value in the cyber crime world. It was almost like a swarm of mosquitoes had found access to a nudist camp.

The affluence and unlimited cash flow of these VIPs was an obvious attraction for those who were down and out. Now with this breakthrough they had finally got a hold of something that could virtually upset the economic balance. It is the first online hacking of such huge dimensions. Among those whose confidential information got compromised are such high profile figures as Lebron James, Tom Hanks and Donald Trump.

In other words, no one got spared. It is truly a tragedy because the wrong information got in the wrong hands. Furthermore, the personal info of the high society movers and shakers could have the tabloids in a feeding frenzy. And this is even more upsetting a fact for the rich and famous.
