Here is some surprising news from the future. Lady Gaga is booked for the first performance of a song in space on a Virgin Galactic Spaceship.

Us Weekly reports exclusively that Lady Gaga is going to sing in space on a Virgin Galactic Space flight. The event is planned for the Zero G Colony festival in 2015 in New Mexico. The 3-day event is supposed to be a hi-tech and music festival never before seen.

The Lady Gaga performance in space is supposed one of the highlights of the Zero G Colony. The Lady Gaga Space gig would be six month after the first planned commercial flight of Virgin Galactic. We will first have to see if they actually manage to launch in time.

Lady Gaga's Space performance is also not the first pop song performed in space. Last year NASA Commander Chris Hadfield performed on board of the International Space Station David Bowie's Space Oddity. Watch below (18m views!)
