Chromebook 11 sales paused due to reported overheating chargers

The Chromebook 11 was the fruit of Google's collaboration with HP. Announced last month, the Chromebook was praised for its 176-degree viewing angles and USB charging capabilities. However, a few owners began complaining about overheating chargers, an issue that prompted Google and HP to halt sales of the Chromebook 11 starting today.

Confirming the news on its official Chrome blog, Google said that it will pause sales until an appropriate corrective action is found. Google is now working closely with the Consumer Product Safety Commission to solve the issue. Meanwhile, Chromebook 11 owners are advised to use other Underwriters Laboratories-listed micro-USB chargers for the time being. We do hope that this issue is fixed soon.
