The famous Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has its first scandal this year. Rock legend Joan Jett is booked to perform on the South Dakota float. Now the South Dakota livestock famers raise a red flag as Joan Jett is a vegetarian and an activist for animal rights group PETA. The farmers say that Joan Jett is not the right choice to represent South Dakota reports the Rapid City Journal .
It looks like though there will be no change and the South Dakota float will have Joan Jett perform. The South Dakota float has a replica of Mount Rushmore on it. You will not miss it. The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is a huge televised event. Each year, more than 3.5 million people in New York and over 50 million people at home watch the Parade.
