Sony has officially launched PlayStation 4 in North America last night. The next-gen PS4 gaming console is now available in the US with 23 launch titles and 13 digital entertainment apps.
President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment of America (SCEA), Jack Tretton, has officially announced the availability of all new PlayStation 4 in North America. Sony launches the next generation PS4 gaming console in a special midnight launch event in the New York City. The whole midnight opening event was live streamed via Spike TV.

Tretton states in its official blog, "Today is a historic day for PlayStation — and gamers everywhere — as we usher in a new era of gaming with the North American launch of PlayStation 4. We have poured an incredible amount of power and innovation into PS4 to bring you the most immersive, jaw-dropping gaming and entertainment experiences imaginable. Now you get to see for yourself why PlayStation is the best place to play."
Sony's PS4 is released with 23 launch titles, including Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Killzone Shadow Fall, Knack, and Resogun. And the Naughty Dog has also announced in the last nigh launch party that is bringing a new Uncharted game to PlayStation 4. But this is just the start of PS4's successful journey. More than 180 titles are under development for PS4 including Destiny and inFAMOUS Second Son. Tretton promises to announce more surprises soon.
PlayStation 4 also launches with a bunch of digital entertainment apps like its predecessor PS3. PS4 comes with 13 digital entertainment apps including Amazon Instant Video, Hulu Plus, Music Unlimited, NBA Game Time, Netflix, and NHL GameCenter Live. These apps are now available in the United States. PS4 ends its wait as greatness arrives. Like Tretton said, "With PS4, you have the best games, movies, TV shows, and sports at your fingertips". PS4 standard edition is now available at $399.99.
