The iPhone 5S is an unlocked GSM version and it will soon be available throughout the United States on an online basis. While this model contains the same features as the non-unlocked ones, it doesn’t contain a SIM. Consumers will have to get their own SIM.

The main plus point of an unlocked phone is that it runs on multiple GSM networks around the world. That is possible without a contractual basis. Globetrotters will have the time of their life with this package. While unlocked phones work on AT&T and T-Mobile in the USA, you don’t necessarily need the services of these carriers. But the only proviso is that you will have to purchase this particular model.

The unlocked SIM-free iPhone 5S available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions. These are affordable at $649, $749 and $849 respectively. As for the hues they are the same. Space gray, silver and gold are the three colors it sports. The device has a delivery time of 1-2 weeks and will be available pretty soon.

While there were similar deals coming out of Apple in the past, this is the first time that an unlocked SIM-free version is going to be widely available on American soil. It will be a welcome addition to the burgeoning demand for the luxurious iPhone 5S. The more units Apple sells, the more the consumers benefit along with the producer.
