Small Business Saturday Means to Shop Small Today

Small Business Saturday 2013

Today is Small Business Saturday 2013. The awareness of Small Business Saturday among U.S. consumers has risen to 44% compared to 34% during the same period a year ago. 77% of those aware of the day say that they plan to shop at small businesses today. That translates to tens of millions of consumers across America who say they plan to patronize a small business on November 30th, the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

American Express will again this year extend a special offer to Card Members who shop on Small Business Saturday. Card Members who register an eligible American Express Card here will receive a one-time $10 statement credit when they use their registered Card to spend $10 or more on 11/30/13 in a single, in-store transaction at a qualifying small business location that appears on the Small Business Saturday Map

Small Business Saturday was created in 2010 in response to small business owners’ most pressing need: more customers. Since its inception, Small Business Saturday has been become a global phenomenon, spreading to the UK, Australia, Israel, Canada, South Africa and Asia.
