Still Available: Lenovo IdeaPad Cyber Monday 2013 Deals

On Cyber Monday, Lenovo rattled off a boatload of sales and coupon codes, the list of which would go on for some time. Generally the sales were the best of the year, and for the “Everyman" IdeaPad series laptops, the best part is the deals will last through Friday, December 6th.

Below we’ve taken the giant list of Lenovo IdeaPad laptop deals and condensed them into the 10 best of the best.

Z-Series

The IdeaPad Z series is called a “multimedia" laptop by Lenovo. Essentially they’ve got the latest Intel Haswell Core i processors but no discrete graphics card, so they’re not up to speed for high-end gaming purposes. Still, the latest Intel HD graphics aren’t terrible, and if you were to game on them, you could still get Total War: Rome II on medium graphics settings to 39 frames per second (with 35 FPS considered fluid).

Lenovo IdeaPad Z710 59400486 Haswell Core i7-4700MQ, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD — $699 at Lenovo. Cheapest ever by $80. List is $999.

Lenovo IdeaPad Z510 59400191 Haswell Core i5-4200M, 8GB RAM — $569 at Lenovo. List is $899.

Y-Series

Lenovo’s Y-Series machines are essentially built for gaming. Their display resolutions are high, and they’ve got the latest specs and discrete graphics cards. Another important feature is their swappable Ultrabay drive. Essentially you can remove the DVD drive and insert a second graphics card or additional cooling unit, with the extra parts available from Lenovo.

Lenovo IdeaPad Y510p 59405673 Haswell Core i7-4700MQ (4th Gen), Full HD 1080p, GeForce GT 755M, 8GB mSSD — $879 at Lenovo. Cheapest ever by $189. List is $1,369.

Lenovo IdeaPad Y410p 59399853 Haswell Core i7-4700MQ, HD+900p, GeForce GT 755M 2GB, 24GB SSD — $799 at Lenovo. Cheapest ever by $214. List is $1,299.

Yoga Series

The Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga is essentially a “convertible Ultrabook". You can either use it as a thin and light Ultrabook or fold the machine into a tablet for on the go touch-only use. Beyond that, the configurations below are both at their lowest prices ever and carry the latest Intel “Haswell" 4th generation CPUs.

Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 2 Pro 59386385 i5-4200U, QHD+ 1800p Touch, 128GB SSD — $999.99 at Best Buy. Next best is $1,175 at Amazon.

Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11s 59403790 Core i3-3229Y, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD — $699.99 at Lenovo. Cheapest ever by $100. List is $900.

Flex Series

The Yoga Ultrabooks are a little pricey, and thus the cheaper Lenovo Flex series is born. They won’t completely fold into a tablet like the Yoga, but they’ll still fold 300 degrees into a “Kiosk" mode where the keyboard shuts off and the touchscreen takes precedence. Cyber Monday pricing makes these machines an affordable option.

15.6" Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 15 59393856 Celeron ULT 2955U, 4GB RAM — $459.42 at Lenovo. Cheapest ever by $12. List is $589.

14" Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 14 59405154 Core i5-4200U, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD + 8GB mSSD — $638.82 at Lenovo. List is $819.

U-Series

The Lenovo U-Series is meant to be a thin-and-light portable Ultrabook with a reasonable price tag. Models are equipped with the latest Intel Core i processors and a most-impressive 10 hour battery life.

Lenovo IdeaPad U530 Touch 59401457 Haswell Core i5-4500U, 4GB RAM — $740.22 at Lenovo. Cheapest ever by $9. List is $949.

Lenovo IdeaPad U430p 59393069 Core i3-4010U, 4GB RAM — $549 at Lenovo. Cheapest ever by $74. List is $799.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
