As a celebrity in the world of entertainment, Ryan Seacrest sure made a name for himself. However, a fact that not many of us know is that he also founded a company that manufactured an auxiliary keyboard for the iPhone. Termed the Typo Keyboard, this amazing invention will be displayed before the world at a show in Las Vegas early next year. Seacrest has invested a million dollars in the product.
He along with another co-founder will be pumping $5 million in the future into the variations of this marvelous device. As for his foray into the high tech field, it does not come without its risks. And no one knows more about that than he does. Seacrest has even held parleys with the CEO of Yahoo, Marissa Mayer, regarding the creation of special programs for New Year’s Eve.
Behind Ryan Seacrest’s interest in this whole business of keyboards lies a tale or two. He used to carry two iPhones in his pocket. One of these was for typing purposes and the other one was for everything else. One fine day, while dining with a colleague he noticed that both of them had four mobile phones lying on the table. This had to be stopped. It was getting ridiculous. So he decided to do something about it.
After two years of creative anguish he arrived at the Typo which clips on the iPhone in a smart way. It was the answer to his problem. And now Seacrest is looking forward to progressive times when spinoffs of his Typo Keyboard will arrive on the scene. Ryan's iPhone keyboard is coming in January 2014 for $99.
