Special price goes up to $199 after a certain number of tablets is sold at $99

If you are looking for a new tablet for work or home and you want it to run the Windows operating system, there are a number of options out there. Dell has been offering its slick little Venue 8 Pro tablet for a while. This tablet has an 8-inch screen and runs the Windows 8.1 operating system. The normal price for the tablet is $299.

For today only, Microsoft will be selling the tablet at a big discount in its online and retail stores reports Information Week. If you live by a retail location the first 20 Venue Pro tablets sold there will go for $99 each. After they sell the first 20 units, the price goes up to $199. That is still a discount of $100 off the normal price.

The special $199 deal is only good today and while supplies last. If you don’t live near a Microsoft retail store, you can get the special deal online. Microsoft will be selling the Dell Venue 8 Pro tablet via its website for $99 for the first 100 buyers.

After the first 100 tablets are sold, the tablet will be offered for $199 while supplies last. It’s unclear if this special deal is just something for the holidays or if perhaps Microsoft is trying to clear all stock of the tablet. The Venue 8 Pro has an Intel Atom Bay Trail processor and an 8-inch touchscreen with a native resolution of 1200 x 800.
