Apple's 2013 “12 Days of Gifts” app is now available for download free from the iTunes App Store for select countries including the US. This is the first time this annual holiday season when this giveaway app is available for Americans too.

Apple launched its traditional annual Christmas gift app on Monday in the iOS app store. This app gives Apple users free gifts for 12 days to celebrate the Christmas holidays in a few select countries. This gift app was previously called "12 Days of Christmas". It gives users free gifts each day in the form of free movies, songs, books, games, apps and much more that can be downloaded through this app on the users’ iPhones or iPads.

Previously, the 12 Days of Gifts campaign was available in Europe, Canada, Japan and some other countries. But Apple has never launched this app in the United States till now. This year, Apple's annual “12 Days of Gifts” app is available in the United States too. For the very first time, Americans will be able to download for free the 64.7MB 12 Days of Gifts app from the iTunes Store.

This year, the free gift campaign will begin on December 26th and run till January 6th. Each day, users will be able to download a free gift item from iTunes, iBooks and App Stores. However, each day's gift will be available only for 24 hours. Hence check in the app every day from these 12 days to get your free gift. You can also set the app to send you notifications about the availability of new gifts.

There is no hint what Apple is going to offer this year in the form of free gifts. But in the previous years, Apple has given away free classic films, music videos, hit songs, fun games and certain episodes of TV shows.  However, the content available will be different in every country. As Apple said, "Not all content is available in all countries."
