Morega Systems Inc. has always worked with their long-term partner ViXS Systems Inc., in order to be first to market with a super Ultra HD 4K solution. The ViXS’ famous 8th-generation XCode 6400 10-bit High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) and Ultra HD System-on-Chip (SoC) is the first ever chip available on the market to meet all of the challenges of the 10-bit media processing in just a single low-power and cost-effective package, which drives the transition to the Ultra HD across the entire content distribution on the current value chain.

The smart XCode 6400 can deliver Ultra HD 4K content at the stunning full resolution of 3840x2160, which is up to about 60 frames per second in the Main 10 Profile. Also, the 10-bit HEVC smart processing frequently enables greater than about 1 billion colors, which creates a smoother color transitions which resolve the color-banding issues plaguing on the lower bit-depth formats.
