Jennifer Lawrence is the one celebrity that remains on the top of almost every award list of 2013. And she has now been given the title of the Celebrity of the Year of 2013.
The TODAY Show by NBC has given the award of the celebrity of the year to Jennifer Lawrence. And she definitely deserves it. Jennifer Lawrence is the one actress who started 2013 by winning a Golden Globe followed by the Academy Award.
She won again at the L.A. Film Critics Awards. And at the end of this year, Lawrence, 23, was also named one of Barbara Walters' "10 Most Fascinating People of 2013." She shines like a true star during the whole past year. 2013 definitely belongs to Lawrence. No doubt about that. And she is a popular pick on year-end best-of lists.
NBC Today states, "It's hard to root against Lawrence, 23, as we head into the new year and another round of Golden Globes and Oscars and more. Her refreshingly frank demeanor throughout last year's trophy season has us hoping we get to watch her stumble up to the stage more than once in 2014."
Lawrence said some special words on Walters in her Dec. 18 TV special that are worth listening. She said, "If we're regulating cigarettes and sex and cuss words because of the effect they have on our younger generation, why aren't we regulating things like calling people 'fat'?"
