Duck Dynasty stars have taken to promoting their guns via the services of Mossberg. The Reality TV show already has many spinoff products including wine and cigars. Now with the addition of guns to the repertoire, they are all set to expand in matters of influence and popularity.
Phil Robertson got caught up in a controversy due to his inappropriate remarks about gays and African Americans. But later on due to the support of many Christians and conservatives, including Sarah Palin, his reinstatement in the show became a possibility.
Phil Robertson stated in an interview with GQ magazine that God meant a man and a woman to be together and it was the accepted model throughout the world. He also spoke of how African Americans before the civil rights era were a happier lot.
These statements caused a storm in a teacup for the Duck Dynasty star. But all that is so much water under the bridge. With the range of weapons for hunting purposes out now, Duck Dynasty is notjust a Reality TV show but a virtual empire in the making.
The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
