Last weekend Apple released an epic iPad Air commercial. It is already the second ad for the flagship iPad. Why is the new iPad mini Retina not getting an ad?
Apple released an epic iPad Air ad last weekend. The 90 second TV commercial for the iPad Air is based on real life uses of the iPad Air. A voice over by Robin William recites classic poetry by Walt Whitman that fits the message of the empowering iPad Air. This is the second cool ad for the iPad Air. Now that the iPad mini Retina is in solid supply, you would expect that Apple also promotes their new small iPad, but nothing yet. The iPad mini Retina is a hot tablet as it almost packs the same performance as the iPad Air and also has Retina resolution. It could be that Apple has a much bigger margin on the iPad Air compared to the iPad mini Retina, which starts at $399. It could also be that Apple thinks it is enough to promote the flagship iPad as it pulls also the smaller one with it. I would think though that an iPad mini Retina ad would help market the small iPad against the cheaper competition in that segment.
