She received the 50th SAG Lifetime Achievement Award. The 82 year old woman is a living legend. She accepted the honors happily.
She said, "I am so ...," and then sheepishly added, "I hope the man with the button was there on time. As I approach the prime of my life, I find I am having the time of my life."
Moreno is a big name in show biz. She has been a member of SAG for more than 60 years. She is also one of those 11 people who won an Oscar along with an Emmy, Grammy and Tony.
The 70s era was the most successful period for Rita Moreno. In 1972, she won her Grammy for "The Electric Company Album. And in 1975, she received her Tony for "The Ritz". Meanwhile also she won two Emmy Awards for her performances in "The Muppet Show" and "The Rockford Files" in 1977 and 1978.
