If it is true then the team of Newcastle United can thank their lucky stars. They would prefer Vince McMahon over Mike Ashley, the current head of their football club. After the news began circulating that Vince would be throwing some of his hard won dollars into the premier league team, each and every team member had his fingers crossed.
It’s been said that Vince views England as holding potential for wrestling. In fact, he may just organize wrestling matches in St. James Park. And though it may be a little premature to say if this will actually happen, the chances are there alright.
However, a WWE spokesperson has gone on record to totally diss the rumors. He says that this is the joke of the century. It is just not true and patently false. About three years ago Vince was rumored to be ready to purchase the rights to the Magpies. That one proved to be nothing but a dud. So is this one, say the naysayers.
But of course, Vince McMahon is a self-made man and has the billions of dollars to prove his worth as an astute and perceptive businessman. He has fought lawsuits where his World Wrestling Federation had to change its initials because they matched with the World Wildlife Fund’s initials. So instead of WWF his organization became WWE.
The man is a genius and a dynamo not to mention a live wire. But rumors are a natural byproduct of his nature and stature as a man of influence and charisma. So they ought to be taken with a grain of salt.
