Actor Alec Baldwin took the time to write a long piece for New York Magazine to say good-bye to public life.

Alec Baldwin published a lengthy article explaining his status-quo and why he is leaving public life. He had quite a bad run with the media and paparazzi in particular over the last months lately that cost him his new show on MSNBC. It also cost him a lot of his image. In the article he says that he cannot walk the streets of New York anymore because of everybody thinks he is a homophobe.

I am not sure if this article that his rather self-centric is really helping his image. He clearly struggles with the new world of the media. It seems Alec Baldwin would have liked to live like the Rat Pack back in the day. He would certainly fit into Frank Sinatra's gang.
