The next Samsung flagship is rumored to be launched with two variants with one of them priced at a whopping $1000
Just a little more wait and then we’ll have the much anticipated details on the Samsung S5 which were promised on the Unpacked 5 event scheduled for 24th of February. Though we didn’t quite have an affirmation from Samsung that the next flagship will be announced officially at the Unpacked event but the teasers were giving away this hint. We might be having mixed feelings about the phone and we don’t know what to expect when the phone will officially unveil but we have still gathered quite a lot of rumors and teasers for the phone which was kept under high secrecy.
Let us see what we are expecting from the S5 and what we know so far. The phone will most probably have a QHD AMOLED display of 5.24-inch with a resolution of 560ppi. But a rumor contradicting with this says that the resolution might be kept at 1080p. There were a lot of rumors circulating around the internet about the two variants for the phone one of which will fall in the lower end category. Well, if this holds any truth then we might be seeing two versions; one supporting a premium 2k display and the other one sporting a 1080p resolution. The speculations about the chipsets are varied and it could either be Snapdragon 800 or 805 and Exynos. On the internal side we have a RAM of 3 GB and a 3200mAh battery and of course the much talked about IRIS technology.
The camera setup is pretty impressive with a 16 megapixel rear camera and the front one having 3.2 MP on it. The results are expected to be better than the S4 and S3 and we can be looking forward to an over the top performance because the cameras for the predecessors were quite amazing and the S5 will surely do better.
We are not only looking forward to the S5 but some rumors are suggesting that the Gear 2 will also make its appearance alongside the S5 but we don’t know how much truth this statement holds. And wait till you hear about the pricing and let it blow your mind. The S5 is rumored to be priced at a crazy $1000 and this leaves us all hoping for the two variants because at least one of them will be priced within an affordable bracket.
