Boeing Black, the new Android smatrphone has just been announced by Boeing which focuses more on the security and modular design. The developing of the hardware and the software on this phone being done from scratch is quite impressive and the primary focus throughout has been the need to store and transmit data in a secure mode. This can especially prove to be a great platform for the US defense and security community. You can judge the height of security featured on this phone by the ability of the phone to delete all data instantly as soon as it detects that some other party is trying to break into the hardware casing of the phone.
Some of the prominent features on the phone will include the disk encryption, hardware root of trust, hardware crpto engine, embedded secure components, trusted platform modules and secure boot to safeguard your data. The outward design of the phone is quite modular and very much practical. The back cover of the phone can easily be removed to facilitate the attachments of different external modules such as extended battery, satellite transceivers and advanced location tracking sensors. The specs are quite impressive as well with the 4.3-inch qHD display and 1.2GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 CPU. Along with dual SIM support, the phone also supports a microSD card slot. We don’t know which version of Android will be powered on the phone and we also have no details on the pricing and availability as yet.
