With a simple installation procedure, the Nokia Store can be sideloaded on Androids
It is a known fact that the Android apps can be sideloaded on the Nokia X phones but XDA-Developers member opseemnik eventually found an answer to this query and now has a way to install the Nokia Store on regular Android devices. Nokia store should not be underestimated and we know that it is nothing as compared to the Play Store but there are still plenty of amazing apps on the Nokia Store as well.
There are some exclusive apps which people would definitely want on their phones and we have one such example of the HERE Maps about which the opseemnik was questioned and the only reply we have from him is that it is ‘in progress’. Apart from this, we can also associate some of the coolest vendor-made apps to Nokia for instance the Refocus which is now coming to Android flagships in a different platform but featuring the similar functionality. And the Nokia Beta Labs are promising something good for the upcoming days as well.
Moving on, the installation process is not a hassle at all and is fairly simple. All you have to do is sideload the NStore.apk like you would do for any other APK file. For some cases you would need root to modify your phone’s build.prop info but the latest version doesn’t need build.prop modifications to work. One thing must be kept in mind that some apps install properly while other will have some trouble installing on the Android phones because they need the Nokia’s APIs to work.
