Microsoft gives the 8.1 Bing update for free to Windows 7 users
Microsoft seems to be playing around with the Windows 8.1 which comes with Bing and this is a slightly different and low cost version of the original operating system which comes with Microsoft applications and services. This brings a little good news for the users who are still using Windows 7 because with this Bing OS, they can have the option of upgrading to the Windows 8.1 Bing version for free.

When it comes to making smart choices, Microsoft has always surprise us. The reason for this initiative was to increase the number of users for their Windows 8 and at the same time they will be able to monetize their applications and cloud services. But there is a slight catch to this, because we are still figuring out exactly how much committed Microsoft is towards this new Bing version of the OS. Nevertheless, their efforts are still evident to make the Windows 8.1 release more excited since they couldn’t do the same with the Windows 8.
We are also hearing that the Windows RT and Windows Phone will be combined into one operating system for all ARM-based devices. And as a closing note, Windows 8.1 update is going to be available from April 8th which is at the end of the Microsoft Developer BUILD conference and till then keep looking out for any more updates regarding the OS.
