Phone will launch in April
HTC has rolled out a new member of its Desire family today called the Desire 310. The smartphone is offered in four colors including orange, white, blue, and black. The phone has modest specifications and is expected to sell for a modest amount of money.
The Desire 310 has HTC BlinkFeed and a quad core processor. That processor runs at 1.3GHz and the phone can record video and still shots using its 5MP rear camera. HTC uses a 4.5-inch screen on the smartphone. It’s unclear exactly what the resolution is of the screen, but expect the resolution to be modest.
“Everybody today wants a smartphone that can keep up with them, regardless of whether it is a flagship or entry-level model” says Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation. “The latest addition to our renowned HTC Desire range combines super-fast processing and premium features at a lower price, offering users the best possible experience in this category.”
HTC did give the phone an Offline Mode allowing the user to save up to 120 stories to read later when no data connection is available. The phone runs Android for the operating system presumably, but an exact version is unannounced. HTC is also keeping the price quiet for now. It will launch in Taiwan next month. There is no word on if the Desire 310 will come to other countries at this time.
