DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe together fabricated the most glorious comple of all times and mostly because one of them was a Yankee and the other a famous hot star, but unfortunately they couldnt last for long so we cant call this the successful Yankee love story.

The greatest love story belonged to Yogi and Carmen Berra; theirs was a love story worth mentioning in books. Yogi Berra, the Yankee in this couple, has not only been a happy man but is always a better man too. He also happens to be one of the greatest baseball players in history and is a very kind person. But this was not his only success, his greatest pride was Carmen Short who had sticked to him since the time they got married in 1949 and stood firm in her vows through all the years.
This surely is a very rare sight especially in the so called glamorous world of the famous. She was a mother, a grandmother and also the First Lady of the Yankees for a very long time. Pretty and smart and funny, she was a delightful partner to him in all ways and in all his endeavours. When asked about his life's greatest accomplishment, Yogi Berra proudly answered “Getting her to marry me." The couple had recently shifted out of their home into an assisted living facility. Yogi Berra is turning 89 in May and Carmen recently left us on Thursday due to a stroke. They both had recently celebrated their 65 years of being in a marriage.
Many books and movies have followed the love story of Joe and Marilyn which lasted for about six years but no one needs to talk about Yogi Berra's great love story because one could simply see the love in everything after being around the two of them. The way they looked at each other and talked about one another was a definition of love far stronger than words can portray.
