Teen asked her to the prom on live radio
There seems to be a rash of high school students asking women that are way out of their league to prom lately. The latest is sports radio host Michelle Beadle. She hosts the ESPN show The SportsNation reports WebProNews.
A high school student named Jack Jablonski asked her if she would go to prom with him on the radio during his talk show. She undoubtedly felt a lot of pressure and said yes. Jablonski was paralyzed after being checked into the rails head first during a high school hockey game in 2011.
The student was such a fan of hockey that he eventually landed a spot co-hosting the weekly talk radio spot about hockey called Night in Minnesota on a radio station called 105 The Ticket. Beadle follows Jablonski on Twitter and he asked her to be on the radio show. While she was on air, he asked her to the prom.
“I’d formally like to invite you to my prom,” Jablonski said.
“Seriously, I would love it,” Beadle responded. “Can I wear an ’80s dress to the prom? And no alcoholic beverages, Jack, I will be watching.”
“I know that he’s a badass and someone I look up to immensely,” Beadle told Larry Brown Sports in an email. “I was shocked when he asked today. And I adore him for doing it live on the radio. I’m honored to squeeze my 38 year old behind into a formal gown for a great night!”
