Whatsapp to receive voice calling feature

It has been confirmed that the voice-calling functionality is coming to the Whatsapp platform as stated by CEO Jan Koum. It hasnt been long since the new feature was announced and we already have an idea of how the feature will end up looking like. If these images are to be trusted then the new voice calling feature will look like the iOS 7 with similar circular buttons and blurred background image.

With this feature, Whatsapp users will be allowed to make free voice calls from their smartphones and tablets using a Wi-Fi or a celular connection. Voice messages feature already exists for the Whatsapp users who will now be able to make free calls as well. With a lot of competion from VoIP, Viver and Skype on the smartphones, Whatsapp had to add the most demanded feature which will be coming in the second quarter of the year. No such specific date has been announced by Whatsapp so far.

According to Reuters, the CEO is reported to have said the following words; "We are driven by the mission that people should be able to stay in touch anywhere and affordably. "Our goal is to be on every mobile phone in the world."
