Mega Millions Jackpot increases to up to 400 Million Dollars

According to the latest news, the Mega Millions Jackpot has achieved a value of approximately $400 million. In Friday’s draw of numbers, none of the participants were able to pick a number consistent with all of the six numbers drawn at Mega Millions. The jackpot number was 7-20-40-54-69 and had the Mega Ball number 12. The prize money at Mega Millions the same Friday was $353 million and would have thus been the fifth highest jackpot to have materialized at Mega Millions’ lottery history. This jackpot has been on a roll ever since the beginning of this year i.e. the 3rd of January. The next draw will take place on Tuesday.

The highest lottery prize to have been won at Mega Millions is an impressive $656 million dollars in 2012. In October, the rules of the game were revised so as to facilitate a greater jackpot prize by decreasing the probability of winning a higher top lottery. From the previous probability of 1 in 176 million, it has now been decreased to 1 in 259 million.
