Classic rock legends Def Leppard and KISS are getting ready for an exciting summer tour this year. At a press conference earlier today at the House of Blues Sunset Strip in California, both bands sat down to promote the "2014 Heroes Tour," that promises to be the "rock concert of ages" that will "make you forget all your troubles."
The summer tour will kick off in June 23 at West Valley City, Utah. From there, Def Leppard and KISS will perform on 41 cities including Los Angeles, Atlanta, Austin, and Nashville. The tour ends on August 31st. You can check out the full schedule below.
The 2014 Heroes Tour is promoted exclusively by Live Nation, the popular concert promotions company based in California. The tour is dedicated to the fans of both bands in the military. Def Leppard and KISS decided to partner with military organizations including the USO, Hiring Our Heroes, Project Resiliency/The Raven Drum Foundation, August Warrior Project, and the Wounded Warrior Project.
Fans in the military are also entitled to discounted tickets. They can pre-order tickets on March 18 via Military.com. Die-hard KISS and Def Leppard clubs can also pre-order the tickets on March 18. Meanwhile, Citi card members can access the pre-sale tickets on March 19 through the Citi Private Pass program. The tickets will officially go on sale in March 21.
Def Leppard has sold over 100 million records worldwide. The melodic rockers are Joe Elliott, Vivian Campbell, Phil Collen, Rick "Sav" Savage, and Rick Allen. The band recently entered their studio to write new music.
KISS, on the other hand, remains to be one of the most influential and flamboyant bands in the history of rock and roll. KISS is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. The band will also be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year. KISS is led by Gene Simmons a.k.a. "The Demon." Other members include Paul Stanley, Tommy Thayer, and Eric Singer.
