Apple’s much anticipated iPhone 6 may include OIS technology which has been shown to create great camera quality in the latest smartphones.
InvenSense, one of the suppliers of OIS revealed the latest rumors circulating in the tech world regarding Apple’s next device; the much awaited iPhone 6. Lately InvenSense signed a contract with Apple which is the source of all these rumors, making them increasingly believable.
The OIS which stands for Optical Image Stabilization will aid the user in capturing photos in a stable manner, with the help of minimal effects of motion on the photograph. This allows the picture to be quite clear, and blur-less and allows video recording to be done with negligible effect of shaking the camera on the video quality. Before this technology, the one employed by smartphones to stabilize images were digital stabilization accelerometers. InvenSense has previously supplied other features such as gyroscopes and stabilization accelerometers to renowned technological ventures. The executives from InvenSense still deny the possibility of a contract with the iPhone 6; however it is understandable that the company would not want to reveal anything to the public prior to the launch of the phone.
Rumors of this sort are frequently found by various technology news ventures, claiming that InvenSense may even be collaborating with Apple in regards with creating an OIS gyroscope. This technology will make use of the gyroscope to stabilize still and video images. Samsung has denied using this technology for its upcoming phone, the Galaxy S5, which may encourage Apple to use it in the iPhone 6. The rumors however credible or unauthentic all point towards how Apple may improve its camera quality and technology in its new phone. Smartphone including the Nokia Lumia 920 and the HTC One are one of the few to have integrated the OIS into the phone, causing camera quality to improve massively.
