A new mirrorless camera has recently been unveiled by Samsung and they have been fitted into a tiny form factor. This is the new Samsung NX mini which is 22.5mm thick and its metal body weighs 158g. Don't let the tiny form factor put you off because this one surely is smarter than you think. It has a 3” flip up screen which means that this perfect for the selfie lovers and for them it will offer a lot of convenience.
Even the camera features the new leather obsession of Samsung and the body is purely metal. Moreover, there is a 1” BSI sensor with 20.5MP resolution and the NX mini has the ability to reach shutter speed of 1/16,000s and can do 6fps continuous shooting. Talking of the video recording feature of the camera, it can capture a 1080p video at 30fps. For this tiny form factor, a new lens mount system was necessary and new lens were needed to fit inside the tiny camera. The new lenses will include a 9mm f/3.5 ED, a 9-27mm f/3.5-5.6 ED OIS and a 17mm f/1.8 OIS. There will be an adaptor to use existing NX mount lenses too, but that one will set you back $150.
The camera also comes with all the next gen apps and features and this one is bringing Dropbox and Flickr integration along with Wi-Fi and NFC which is going to allow the camera to connect and pair with other devices. Photos can be shared with up to four devices or make use of the Remote View Finder Pro app. The camera is already available for $450 with the 9mm kit lens and it will cost $550 if you want the 9-27mm lens instead.
