Julianna Margulies Involved in a Shocking Change of Events in The Good Wife

The sudden upheaval on show may have been thought to have cause Julianna Margulies to be upset and out of sorts. But she was unperturbed and was in fact spotted by the paparazzi with her little boy Kieran on a shopping trip.

The Good Wife which portrays Julianna in it may have caused tears to well up in many eyes. But the latest paradigm shift has caused quite a few heart attacks (metaphorically speaking). The lawyer who was getting all flirty with Julianna Margulies on screen was shot in cold blood in court by a common criminal.

"Last night’s episode of The Good Wife featured the abrupt exit of original cast member and series male lead Josh Charles, whose character Will Gardner was shot dead in the courtroom by a deranged client. While the shocking development had been kept under wraps and came as a surprise to viewers, it had been in the works since last spring," according to Deadline.

After last night's shocking episode, "The Good Wife creators Robert and Michelle King took to Twitter to post a link to a letter they had written to fans that started by reassuring them that Josh is still alive, " according to DailyMail.

On Twitter, the messages were reassuring for those unable to differentiate between fantasy and reality. The posts spoke of how although Will Gardner was dead, the real life Josh Charles was still alive and kicking.

Meanwhile, some of the fans of the series were not exactly happy with this snag that had occurred out of nowhere. They would have wanted Will Gardner to have lived on in the one and only place on earth where the sun always shines (television).

The twist and turn of events on the fast paced series may have gotten out of hand a little. But then this makes for good publicity. Death is in itself a depressing subject and to see your favorite star die on screen and that too so meaninglessly is simply too much to take for many.

But by injecting a little bit of brutal realism in the mix, the visceral and surreal factor is enhanced. Charles Gardner is quite a smart and svelte star who is the ideal sidekick to Julianna Margulies. He is already the owner of an Emmy and a Golden Globe to boot for his characteristic genial performances.

What effect the subtraction of this vital player from the overall ensemble will have is anyone’s guess. Especially, the star influence of loss that it will inevitably have on Julianna on screen remains to be seen.
