Vitali Klitschko was fully engaged in the uprising against President Viktor Yanukovych. He was widely believed that he wants to become President of the Ukraine. In breaking developments he announced to drop out of the presidential race. He putting his support behind billionaire Petro Poroshenko.

A CNN report includes the following statement of Klitschko. "We need to have a joint democratic nominee. It has to be a candidate with the highest chances of winning. Today, I believe such a candidate is Petro Poroshenko," he told a party convention in Kiev, referring to the billionaire businessman, also a former foreign minister. "Our goal is full membership of Ukraine in the EU."
Vitaliie Klitschko is running for major in Kiev instead of the Presidency.
Now the Ukraine people can vote either Petro Poroshenko or Yulia Tymoshenko. Petro Poroshenko is pro-Western. Tymoshenko was big in 2004 Orange revolution. Today her motives seem to be less clear. Some say she is close to Putin. On the other hand she just made headlines because she said on a wire-taped phone call that she would shoot Putin.
