The company has so far had $1.09 billion in revenues but there is a net loss after taxes of $62 million
HTC has posted some performance results of the company for the first quarter and these are the unaudited reports which means that the view has some potential for being biased. But these results turned out to be worse than what the company had been expecting. The results dont seem to be in line with what the company's Q4 2013 performance showed; a revenue of $1.12-1.18 billion for the first quarter of this year. Though these unaudited results show $1.09 billion in revenues yet there is a net loss after taxes of $62 million.
An important thing to notice here is that these results dont include the HTC One (M8) which was launched close to the end of this quarter. But with the new HTC One in full swing, the company is hoping for better financial results because the returns from this flagship will soon start to whow up. One (M8) and Desire 816 are both available in the markets now and they have hit it off pretty well in the Chinese market in particular. From the company's forecast of having a net profit by the second quarter of this year, it is quite evident that the company is confident with its new releases.
