Jill Duggar of reality TV show “19 Kids and Counting” is about to tie the knot. And it is going to be with none other then Derick Dillard.
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s daughter is to get wed soon. Jill Duggar will say her “I dos” with Derick Dillard some time in the future. According to the blushing bride-to-be, she and her dad’s friend, Dillard, were introduced to other and began the courting process slowly and steadily.

They spent much of their time text messaging, buzzing and having nice sweet conversations on Skype. And, believe it or not, they were over 8000 miles away from one another.
"I am so happy," Jill says. "Our story is so very unique. The first time we talked, he was in Japan, we met in Nepal, he spent time in India and Israel and then came back to Arkansas where he met my family. We have a very international story even though we live so close."
Finally, when they got to see each other face to face in Nepal, both Duggar and Dillard decided once and for all they were meant for each other. Jill is especially wowed by the Godly ways and mission to serve others that her husband-to-be has taken on as a lifestyle.
"When my dad first introduced Derick and I [remotely], we spent hours texting, calling, and talking on Skype while 8,000 miles away from each other. And when we finally met in person in Nepal, we knew within days that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together," Jill said.
"I love Derick's desire to follow God and to serve others," she added. "Derick is so romantic and the proposal was perfect."
Dillard took his time preparing for the proposal. He bought a diamond ring from Israel and also sank on one knee to ask for Duggar’s hand in marriage. After her father’s approval and Jill’s “yes” the two are like lovebirds that are truly, madly and deeply passionate about each other.
"[Jill's father] was like, 'Oh, hey, you look like a nice couple,'" Derick recalled. "'I think I have a song for you guys.'"
The preparations for the wedding ceremony, which is to take place soon, are underway. It will be quite an occasion. And the center of the whole sacred ceremony of joining a man and woman in holy matrimony will be the implicit presence of God.
"I think it'll probably be a Duggar-sized wedding with lots of friends and lots of family, and everything centered on God," Jill told USWeekly. "We're looking forward to it!"
The Duggars are very strict fundamentalist Christians. While they allow their daughters to court other potential males, they don’t permit them to get promiscuous. There is a fine line which they don’t cross no matter what.
Dillard meanwhile has gone ahead to express his happiness and ecstasy over the engagement in simple words of enthusiasm. He said that he felt like he was dreaming and that finally he got to hold Jill’s hand.
"I feel like I'm dreaming," Dillard tells People of his engagement to Jill. "It was great to grab her hand for the first time."
