The new handset will feature the same specs as the original S5 but will have the unlocked bootloader feature
There is news that the Verizon Wireless will be welcoming a Developer Edition of the Samsung Galaxy S5 in the coming future and this new handset will have a model number ET-G900VMKA. The new phone will carry the same features and specs as those which were featured on the original S5 edition but there will be one slight difference however.
This new Developer Edition of the Samsung Galaxy S5 is going to come along with a unlocked bootloader which is the major difference from the original S5. This unlocked bootloader feature is going to make things easier for the users; it is going to allow them to easily tinker with Android ROMs. The new version is going to be available on the Verizon without the need for a contract and carrier subsidies. So far only the Verizon carrier has been confirmed and there is no more news about whether other US carriers will offer the phone or not.
