We all know that Glen Campbell has been fighting with Alzheimer's for the past three years. Now it looks like Campbell is not feeling well as a recent report from People confirms that the 78 year old music legend has been moved to an Alzheimer's care facility.
"He was moved to an Alzheimer's facility last week," says a family friend. "I'm not sure what the permanent plan is for him yet. We'll know more next week."
The Grammy-winning singer publicly shared stuff about his having Alzheimer's disease in 2011. Campbell opened up about his Alzheimer's disease before going on a final farewell live tour. Actually Campbell and his fourth wife, Kim Woolen, wanted to raise awareness regarding the singer's illness among his fans. And he even forgets some of the lyrics while singing.
"I still love making music," Campbell told People in an exclusive 2011 interview. "And I still love performing for my fans. I'd like to thank them for sticking with me through thick and thin."
Glen Campbell's final "Goodbye Tour" was filmed. And it has now become a documentary called "Glen Campbell … I'll Be Me". This documentary shows his whole family including his wife Kim and their three young children, Cal Campbell, Shannon Campbell, and Ashley Campbell together enjoying life.
The documentary depicts how Campbell and his family deal with his disease while performing live on the road trip together. The "Glen Campbell … I'll Be Me" documentary will debut today at the 2014 Nashville Film Festival.
