When you create a BigOven account (it’s also free, but you can upgrade to a BigOven Pro membership) you get access to cool features such as RecipeScan, which allows you to upload photos of handwritten or typed paper recipes and they type it up for you as well as calendar integration for meal-planning. BigOven is available for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices.

For the beginner chef, Appetites is the perfect mobile companion in the kitchen. It offers over 100 videos that show you how to cook step-by-step. Every part of the cooking process is broken down for you in a manner that is very easy to follow, even for the cooking-impaired. In-app purchases allow you to learn from popular chefs, too! ‘Appetites’ is currently only available for the iPhone and iPad.

It is great for people wanting to eat healthier, natural meals. Perfect Produce is available for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices.
