Reports were flowing in only a day earlier that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will most likely feature thetri-sided curved YOUM OLED screen and today we have a filed patent from Samsung that suggests the possible desing for the new phone. This patent app merely shows a structure which is a concept for the new Note 4 and it shows rounded edges on the side and this possibly indicates that this is where the curved YOUM display would stretch.
Even the posted images show that Samsung has clear intentions of using up the curved spaces on the display and putting them to some use. The interface of the phone would be designed in such a way that it would allow for the usage of this curved space. For instance, in the pictures, the app and settings shortcuts are placed exactly there.
An executive from Samsung revealed that the company is experimenting with a completely new form factor which is going to be their first for the next gen Note 4. A video is also available for the demo of how exactly the new display is going to work.
The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
