Interview with a Vampire star Kirsten Dunst turns 32 as she celebrates her birthday. The American actress first gained recognition after appearing in Woody Allen’s short film Oedipus Wrecks. However it was not until the horror movie Interview with a Vampire that Kirsten Dunst gained international acclaim. The film was a 1992 adaptation of Anne Rice’s horror novel of the same title and her brilliant performance landed her with Golden Globe nomination at a very young age of 12.
Kirsten Dunst came back with Sofa Coppola’s cult classic The Virgin Suicides and later she changed her movie genre by featuring in comedy movies such as Bring It On which has gone on to spawn four sequels and a Broadway musical. She has also worked with Tobey Maguire in the Spider-Man trilogies between 2002 and 2007 and then costarred with Sofia Coppola in Marie Antoinette which premiered positively at the Cannes Film Festival.
Over these years, Kirsten Dunst has worked with prominent names in the Hollywood industry and after all these hits she worked alongside Charlotte Gainsbourg and infamous director Lars Von Trier in Melancholia which again went for premiere all the way to the Cannes festival. The movie proved quite lucky for Kristen as she was awarded with the Best Actress by the jury at the festival. It has been over two years since she has been dating Garrett Hedlund whom she first met when she starred in 2010 starred in an adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s On The Road.
