Italian actress Sophia Loren is going to arrive at this year's Cannes Film Festival as a guest of honor.
Sophia Loren is a big star for all times. She not only won two Oscars but is also considered to be one of the last great sex symbols of the 1950s and 1960s. She was the president of the Cannes jury in 1966.

And Sophia Loren will now return to Cannes Film Festival as a guest of honor this year. She will be a part of the Cannes Classics series in which more than 20 features and documentaries will be screened.
Classics like Wim Wenders' "Paris, Texas"; Alfred Hitchcock's 1939 adaptation of the Daphne du Maurier novel "Jamaica Inn"; "Angst" (1954) by Roberto Rossellini and 17 more shows will be screened in the Cannes Classics series.
Sophia Loren will not only be a guest of honor at Cannes 2014 but she will also give a master class. And her latest film "The Human Voice", which was directed by her son Edoardo Ponti, will also be screened at this year's Cannes. The 79 year old Italian actress will attend this screening event too.
Her last main role in any movie before "The Human Voice" was in 2009's musical flick "Nine". Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz, Kate Hudson and Nicole Kidman are also a part of the movie along with Sophia Loren.
