Sophia Loren will be a Guest of Honor at Cannes 2014
Sophia Loren is a big star for all times. She not only won two Oscars but is also considered to be one of the last great sex symbols of the 1950s and 1960s. She was the president of the Cannes jury in 1966.
And Sophia Loren will now return to Cannes Film Festival as a guest of honor this year. She will be a part of the Cannes Classics series in which more than 20 features and documentaries will be screened.
Classics like Wim Wenders' "Paris, Texas"; Alfred Hitchcock's 1939 adaptation of the Daphne du Maurier novel "Jamaica Inn"; "Angst" (1954) by Roberto Rossellini and 17 more shows will be screened in the Cannes Classics series.
Sophia Loren will not only be a guest of honor at Cannes 2014 but she will also give a master class. And her latest film "The Human Voice", which was directed by her son Edoardo Ponti, will also be screened at this year's Cannes. The 79 year old Italian actress will attend this screening event too.
Her last main role in any movie before "The Human Voice" was in 2009's musical flick "Nine". Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz, Kate Hudson and Nicole Kidman are also a part of the movie along with Sophia Loren.

About the Geek Mind
The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
