Who did he talk about most

Jason Priestley knows drama. After finding mega-fame on Aaron Spelling's soap Beverly Hills, 90210, the former teen idol experienced firsthand the perks and pitfalls of Hollywood superstardom. He and his costars—including Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, and Luke Perry—spent much of the 1990s in the spotlight, where they had an all-access pass to some of the biggest names in showbiz. Now, the 44-year-old actor is dishing all about his famous friends in an upcoming book, Jason Priestley: A Memoir, out May 6. Get an exclusive look at some of the juiciest excerpts.

Doherty, who played Priestley's sister on Beverly Hills, 90210, had a reputation for being a bit of a bad girl on set. (The actress herself has admitted to "earning" that rep and making some "shameful" mistakes in her past.) She's friends with many of her costars (including Priestley) now, but she didn't make the best impression back in 1990, when Fox executives sent the pair via private jet on a last-minute trip to New York City for a meeting with advertisers.

"I could not believe my ears at Shannen's very first words after she boarded," Priestley recalls in his book of their travels. "Her butt had barely hit her seat before she said loudly to the PR person, 'Really? A town car? You send a town car to take me to the airport, not a limo?' She sighed a very put-upon sigh. I laughed, as I couldn't really tell if Shannen was kidding or not."

He continueed: "But that was just the beginning. I looked on, becoming more uneasy by the minute as she began bitching about the short notice and the food on board and the temperature in the cabin and everything else he dishes to US Weekly."
