The acclaimed actress,Gwyneth Paltrow has enacted a Goop auction in tandem with several others. And she was spotted with ex-husband Chris Martin at a restaurant as well.
Gwyneth Paltrow is ready to lend her old clothes and accessories to others for a price. Now her fans can enjoy not only her recipes and general pointers, but they get to don her dresses and skirts.
Gwyneth, who has a website named Goop, announced her backyard sale recently to the fanfare of her fan base. Several other friends of Gwyneth are jumping on the bandwagon to lend their own clothes as well.
The money gathered from the sale will go to a charitable organization. Paltrow spoke of how the sale was a huge success the previous year and it was slated to be a great smashing event this year as well.
"Last year, we did a big story on closet organization, and in the process, sold a handful of pieces on behalf of three charities," Paltrow wrote about the annual Goop closet sale (via US Weekly). "It was such a success that we decided to do it again, and enlisted some friends-of-Goop, who have particularly outstanding personal style, to help this year."
"100 percent of the profits benefit DonorsChoose, a charity where public school teachers can ask directly for help fulfilling specific classroom needs," the announcement continued.
Most folks would die to wear clothes previously owned by Gwyneth Paltrow and several other stars. This would in fact be the ideal platform for some competition between the buyers who would exceed one another in paying up cash for the used yet coveted clothes.
Meanwhile, Paltrow was seen recently at a fancy restaurant with former husband and Coldplay front man Chris Martin. "The separated husband-and-wife pair, who announced their split just weeks ago, reunited in Santa Monica on Thursday evening, May 1. The parents to Apple, 9, and Moses, 7, were spotted sharing dinner at Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi," according to US Weekly.
The two announced their divorce some time back and everybody blamed Gwyneth saying that she was too selfish and had an oversized ego. But when Chris was asked about it a few days back, he confessed that he shared part of the blame for the breakup. Chris spoke of how he had certain insecurities that came up and caused some dishonesty in their relationship.
"I wouldn't use the word breakdown," Martin said about his split from Paltrow. "This was more a realization about trying to grow up basically… if you can't open yourself up, you can't appreciate the wonder inside. So you can be with someone very wonderful, but because of your own issues, you cannot let that be celebrated in the right way."
When you could not completely open up with your life partner there was obviously some fault in you, and that had to be remedied. Chris and Gwyneth departed from the restaurant from a back door so as to avoid the paparazzi. The two are still sensible enough to cooperate with one another in order to be the best of role models for their kids.
