Microsoft is very happy with the success of the new Office for iPad app that was just launched six weeks ago. Office for iPad proved to be a big hit as it had been downloaded about 27 million times since its launch.

Julia White, Microsoft's GM of Office Division, revealed the news at the TechEd customer conference in Houston. 27 million downloads is a pretty huge number. In fact, the download figure doubled in just a month’s time.
