Shonda Rhimes Captures ABC's Thursday Night

Shonda Rhimes proved herself a good show runner. “Scandal” and “Grey’s Anatomy” are Shonda's hit shows.  Both of these shows are very successful on ABC and the ratings are good. And ABC has been thinking for a long time about extending her contract.

ABC not only renewed Shonda's shows but also renewed her contract for a long term. ABC booked Shonda Rhimes for four more years. Now the creator of “Scandal” and “Grey’s Anatomy” will work with ABC Studios until May 2018.

Shonda Rhimes signed the new contract deal with ABC on the same day as her new show “How to Get Away with Murder” was announced.

ABC has already unveiled its “2014-2015 schedule”, and it includes her new show “How to Get Away with Murder”. The director of this new series is “Grey’s Anatomy” vet Peter Nowalk while Rhimes is the executive producer.

Now, Thursday is Shonda Rhimes’ day on ABC. All three Shonda series will air every Thursday. Grey’s Anatomy airs on 8PM followed by Scandal on 9PM while the new series “How to Get Away with Murder” will air on 10PM.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
