Apple Balla reports that Apple is now in the middle of a class action lawsuit related to problems with their iMessage system in iOS. This unique message system has been running into problems when former customers stopped receiving their messages.
While they are refusing to comment on what the exact problem is, they are also not giving comments on what is going to happen with the lawsuit. Currently, it isn’t known whether or not it will be moving forward or if it has seen the desk of a judge. Lawyers have been declining comment as well.
According to Apple, the problem was fixed in the form of a server-side bug that they didn’t elaborate on, although it won’t be entirely fixed yet. They do say that there will be a fix coming with a future software update, however, which could solve the problem entirely. It isn’t clear what the software update has to do with Android users not receiving text messages, but this is the explanation that they have given.
We will have to wait and see whether or not the problem is gone and what the current state of the class action lawsuit is. With WWDC rapidly approaching, they are expected to have a fix in as soon as possible in time to release it along with the announcements regarding various software and hardware updates that are being waited on anxiously.
