ATP's #3 Stan Wawrinka got knocked out in the first round of the French Open.

Stan Wawrinka won the Australian Open and came into the French Open seeded as #3. The high expectations might have been too much for Swiss Stan Wawrinka at Roland - Garros. He lost his first round game to Guillermo Garcia-Lopez (ATP #41).

His game showed lots of self inflicted point losses. A clear sign of not being mentally focused.

According to the official Roland - Garros site, Stan Wawrinka said after his loss: "Now it's a different picture for my career. I need to put the puzzle back together, but differently than in the past, because now, after winning a Grand Slam, a Masters 1000, being No. 3 in the world, everything is different, and I still didn't find all the piece."

Stan Wawrinka is the first high-profile player getting knocked out in the French Open 2014. Wawrinka posted a good bye Twitter message:

Today's top games at the Roland - Garros 2014 include the matches of Andy Murray and Caroline Wozniacki.
