Lauren Scruggs had been in an accident that left her without her left hand and she also lost an eye in the process. Yet she survived and today it is wedding bells all the way for the fashion blogger.
Lauren Scruggs is about to marry him. Kennedy made the journey to Dallas and proposed to her. He did it in a very romantic way by lighting candles on a lawn.
The candles spelt out the words “Will You Marry Me?” Lauren was extremely touched by the gesture and decided to reciprocate. Her near and dear ones were close by when the incident took place.
"It's a blur but I can't stop smiling. She told me I couldn't surprise her, but I got her good. This is the best night of my life," Jason tells E! News.
Lauren Scruggs also sported a diamond ring, manufactured by Jennifer Meyer, on her finger and said that she was deeply in love with Jason.
The wedding plans have yet to see the light of day though. It will take a lot of painstaking preparation with the cake and guest list. Scruggs and Kennedy began their romantic meetings approximately a year ago.
Kennedy spoke of how he found her to be simply an amazing human being. Scruggs had seen a depressive phase in her life in the form of the propeller accident. She had just come out of the plane and literally ran afoul of the whirring gadget thereby losing a hand and an eye.
To this day, Scruggs says she wouldn’t wish such a tragedy on her worst enemy. However, every day in every way she is getting better and better.
After the accident she had retreated into a deep depression and felt she was so ugly that no one would marry her.
'I thought I was ugly and that no guy would ever love me,' she told DailyMail.'I just thought that my life was ruined.'
But the erstwhile model went on to write a book about her ordeal titled Still Lolo. 'I just want to use what I've been through to talk to young girls and let them know that our appearances are not what define us,' Lauren stated.
Lauren Scruggs also got a replacement eye and prosthetic hand. Now that she has found love and happiness with Jason, she is content with her lot.
